Welcome, Grand Knights, Ladies Auxiliary Presidents, and District Deputies, to the State Life Programs! This guide is designed to assist your Councils in respecting and protecting all life from conception to death. Our theme this year is: “Honoring Faith, Serving Community, & Defending Life.”

Meet Life Campaign – Phase II

After achieving the 5-year goal of $2 million and reducing abortions by half in Missouri by 2016, the Meet Life Campaign continues with Phase II to build on this great accomplishment.

Special Olympics

Special Olympics is a Life Activities program aligned with the Supreme Faith in Action Model, promoting respect for all life through inclusivity and support for individuals with special needs.

State Sympathy Card

This program provides an opportunity to honor fallen Knights with a sympathy card sent to their family from the State Deputy and State Chaplain.

The Silver Rose

The Silver Rose program will run again from September to October, honoring the sanctity of life and Our Lady of Guadalupe.

Requirements for Life Activities

The “Required” program for Life Activities is the Novena for Life. Completing this program ensures Councils meet a key component of their Life Activities obligations.

The “Featured” programs for Life Activities are:

  • Marches for Life
  • Special Olympics
  • Ultrasound Program

Participating in Featured Programs counts as 2 credits out of 4 required for your Columbian Award Life Activities. Be sure to review the specific requirements for each Featured and Required program to ensure your Council qualifies.
