The success of our councils is built upon the dedication of our brother Knights who put their faith into action by serving their parishes, communities, families, and those most in need. These pages are designed to provide information, guidance, and inspiration as we work together to strengthen our programs and continue our mission of charity, unity, and fraternity. 1. Oversee All Statewide Programs

• Coordinate and supervise all state council programs and initiatives.

• Ensure programs align with the Order's priorities of Faith, Family, Community, and Life.

• Develop annual goals and strategies to increase participation and effectiveness.

Two important awards are below for Councils to participate in!

The State Blessed Michael McGivney Award recognizes a Catholic priest who exemplifies the spirit and mission of Blessed Michael McGivney through outstanding pastoral leadership and dedicated service to both his parish and the Knights of Columbus. To be eligible, the nominee should be a priest serving in the State of Missouri who faithfully proclaims and teaches the Catholic faith, promotes and supports Christian family life, demonstrates exceptional charity and compassion, actively encourages the growth and mission of the Knights of Columbus, fosters fraternity among his parishioners and Brother Knights, and serves as an inspiring role model of priestly holiness, humility, and Christian service. His ministry should reflect the virtues and pastoral zeal that characterized the life of Blessed Michael McGivney, founder of the Knights of Columbus.

The Missouri Knights of Columbus Faith in Action Award recognizes a council that has demonstrated exceptional commitment to living the principles of Faith, Family, Community, and Life through the Knights of Columbus Faith in Action program. To qualify, a council should have planned and conducted meaningful programs in one or more of the Faith in Action categories that positively impacted its parish and community, encouraged broad member participation, strengthened the Catholic faith, supported families, promoted respect for the dignity of human life, and served those in need through charitable outreach. The council should demonstrate innovation, collaboration with its pastor and parish, effective leadership, and measurable results that reflect the mission and values of the Knights of Columbus while inspiring others to put their faith into action through service.

2. Support and Train Local Councils

• Provide guidance and resources to district deputies and local council program directors.

• Conduct workshops, webinars, and training sessions on program planning and execution.

• Assist councils in implementing successful activities and overcoming challenges.

3. Promote Membership Engagement and Growth

• Encourage programs that attract and retain members.

• Demonstrate how meaningful service projects can strengthen councils and increase member involvement.

• Share best practices and recognize councils with successful initiatives.

4. Track, Report, and Evaluate Programs

• Collect and maintain records of council activities and program submissions.

• Ensure councils submit required reports and applications for state and supreme recognition.

• Analyze participation and results to identify opportunities for improvement.

5. Communicate and Inspire

• Serve as the primary communication link between the State Council and local councils regarding programs.

• Publicize successful projects and encourage replication across the jurisdiction.

• Inspire councils to embrace the mission of charity, unity, and fraternity through active service.
