Missouri Religious Vocation Fund

Chairman: Thomas Broadbent

The Missouri Religious Vocation Fund was established to aid the Dioceses of Kansas City-St. Joseph, Jefferson City, Springfield-Cape Girardeau, and the Archdiocese of St. Louis in promoting future vocations. The dioceses work to inform students about vocations in grade schools, high schools, and colleges. Our goal this year is to raise $15,000 for vocations in Missouri.

To support this program, we are asking each Council, Assembly, and Auxiliary to consider contributing 50¢ per member. Together, we can meet this goal and provide vital support to the dioceses.

Suggestions for Meeting the Goal

  • Use the $100 reimbursement from the Supreme RSVP program and donate it to the Missouri Religious Vocation Fund.

Diocesan Chairmen

  • TBA: Archdiocese of St. Louis
  • Chris Bradfield: Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph
  • Les Erwin: Diocese of Springfield-Cape Girardeau
  • David Kiesling: Diocese of Jefferson City

The diocesan chairmen serve as liaisons between the Knights of Columbus and Missouri dioceses. They oversee all programs in their respective dioceses in collaboration with the Knights, including helping Councils and Auxiliaries identify seminarians to sponsor.

Chairmen will:

  • Communicate with District Deputies and Grand Knights regarding activities and opportunities in their areas.
  • Maintain communication with dioceses on individual Council activities.

Good communication with our Bishops is essential for building up the Catholic Church and ensuring the success of these programs.

Refund Support Vocations Program (RSVP)

Keep the faith alive by supporting our seminarians and postulants. As the strong right arm of the Church, the Knights of Columbus are committed to providing moral, financial, and spiritual support to our future priests and religious at all stages of their formation.

This featured program counts for two credits toward the Columbian Award. Through RSVP, councils and parish families raise funds to support seminarians in their areas. For every $500 donated to an individual seminarian or religious aspirant, Supreme Council will refund $100 to the council, up to a maximum of $400 per fraternal year.

How to Participate

  • Submit Form 2863 to apply for reimbursement and receive featured program credit.
  • Copy your diocesan chairman when submitting the form.
  • Consider donating the reimbursement from Supreme to the Missouri Religious Vocations Fund, a separate program from RSVP.
