Council Engagement

From the start, new members should be encouraged to be active and to participate in the Council. Have his proposer act as a mentor to him – make sure he comes to meetings and is active in programs, and go with him as he participates in council activities. We must be willing to engage and listen to our new members, and members from all sorts of backgrounds, ages, ethnicities, etc.

You should also encourage him to make an appointment to see your Field Agent, to discuss his family’s financial future. Make a plan to reach out to those members you have not seen in a while. If a member has not been engaged or paid dues in eighteen months, consider transferring them into the Affiliate Council per proper procedures.

If your council is in need of some guidance or unsure of what to do, contact the Council Engagement Chairman.
