College Councils

Sustaining Faith on Campus: College Councils

Knights of Columbus College Councils play a vital role in our Order's mission by engaging young men at a critical crossroads in their lives. These councils provide a powerful vehicle for students to live out their faith, build authentic Catholic brotherhood, and minister directly to the unique needs of their campus communities.

Because campus life moves fast, college councils require special attention and dedicated oversight. With students graduating every year, these councils experience a dramatic shift annually and an almost complete membership turnover every four to five years. While the ultimate goal is for college students to comprise the vast majority of the membership and hold all elected officer positions, long-term stability is crucial. To ensure continuity from year to year, college councils utilize a non-student Financial Secretary to serve as the steady administrative backbone of the council.

Guiding the next generation of Catholic men can feel like a monumental task, but we are sustained by our state theme: "Your Grace is Sufficient for me." Relying on His grace, we can confidently empower young leaders to defend the faith on campus.
